The world doesn't need another million words...

It needs the action of one, times a million.

Around the world, young people want to
make a difference but don’t know where,
or how, to start.

By offering adolescents the tools to overcome mindset hurdles, get clarity on cause, and find opportunities in the messiest of challenges, we can empower them to realise their change-making potential.

Force of Nature is a fledgeling not-for-profit that aims to do exactly this. We have developed an accelerated-learning programme, which must be evolved into a packaged and universally-accessible curriculum for educators and community leaders across the UK.

Our first 90 days

  • Developed and delivered a pilot one-day intensive at the Green School in Bali, Indonesia.

  • Co-ordinated a four-day programme for a cohort of 25 aspiring impact-makers in Athens, Greece.

  • Designed and delivered a series of spring programmes for 100+ international students in Oxford, UK.

  • Toured a number of primary schools around London for career chats.

  • Launched an early-stage body of research on the psychology of inaction, to develop a peer-reviewed formula for overcoming mindset hurdles such as 'eco-anxiety'.

Jai, 18

"Before the workshop, I wanted to help save the planet but had no idea where or how to start. Following the workshop, I’m more confident and positive: we can change everything, we just need to work together."

Anneliek, 20

“I entered this workshop curious to learn more about my own potential. I was able to identify skills I’d neglected to realise before; gain new insights into where I can have the most impact; address my fear of commitment; and reduce (if not eliminate!) my sense of powerlessness."

Oskar, 13

“This morning, I had ideas… but as the day progressed, I figured out how to make them real. The workshop blew my mind open to future projects. This was very helpful."

Our next 90 days

  • Secure immediate-term funding to keep the lights on and pay for support on logistics;

  • Set up a dedicated website and launch an outward-facing communications strategy that attracts partners and recruits alike;

  • Seek volunteers to support on directing and delivering programmes, as well as operations and partnerships;

  • Get our pilot packaged programme and impact assessment to a place where we can begin deploying it en masse;

  • Scout and equip the initial cadre of facilitators to deliver and refine the programme;

  • Begin conversations with larger grant-givers for year-one funding;

  • Scope a Tom’s model for the programme, between state and private schools in the UK.

No one ever changed the world alone.

We need YOU to help take Force of Nature to the next level, so that thousands - millions - of young people around the world can be empowered to act on the issues they care about.

Whether you're a teacher, student, friend or concerned citizen, let's explore how we can collaborate.
